What sets me aside from the other candidates?

Once elected, I have the experience to hit the ground running day 1.

One major difference between myself and the other candidates running for District 1  Councilmember is I have over 26 years of Mesa City Government experience working with all levels of the organization, including the Mayor and Councilmembers, which none of the other candidates have. I look forward to putting that experience to work for you and all constituents in District 1.

Scrutinize, Reallocate, Reduce.

Listen, Reduce Red Tape,  Be Responsive

Food for thought……

If your car broke down, would you like a master mechanic to work on it or an apprentice (same cost)?

I am the master mechanic in Mesa Government. My opponents are not.

The AZ Asian Chamber, East Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (EVHCC) and the NAACP hosted a Mesa Candidates Forum at the City of Mesa Council Chambers.  It was great to meet and answer questions and concerns brought forth.  As I stated, I will work for the people and hit the ground running day 1.

Attended the LD10 (Legislative District 10) meeting last night.  Met a lot of nice people and had the chance to talk about how they feel about Mesa today and what they would like to see going forward.

Attended a meet and greet hosted by Emily Legat.  It was great meeting more constituents and business owners from Mesa and other parts of the Valley.  Thank you, Emily, for hosting.

If you would like to host a meet and greet, I would greatly appreciate it.  It is a great way to meet various candidates face to face, hear their goals and priorities, and ask the questions you would like to get answers to.  Just drop me a note if you have questions about hosting or would like to set up a meet a greet.  Thank you.

I continue to be out and about meeting residents and business owners in District 1.  This is the most enjoyable part of campaigning.  HEARING and answering your questions, LISTENING to what you really like about living and/or working in Mesa, and HEARING your suggestions and possible solutions that you would like me to work on once in office.  I look forward to meeting you and having a similar conversation very soon.

Attended the LD9 (Legislative District) meeting at 630PM.  Had the opportunity to meet more constituents and business owners from Mesa as well as a few other candidates who are running for various seats in AZ and the US Senate and House.  It is very nice to hear directly from them and have the opportunity to ask them questions and hear their answers and points of view.

Had a meet and greet with WeSERV (West and Southeast REALTORS of the Valley).  It was very nice meeting with the interview panel and answering their questions about my campaign and goals for Mesa.

I had the opportunity to visit and tour the ASU Polytechnic Campus today.  What a fantastic facility that is a nexus for studies in interdisciplinary sciences, engineering, management, technology and education.  Thank you, Warde and Susan for taking the time to show me around.  It was an eye-opening experience.  I had no idea how big the facility is, and the diverse programs ASU offers out there.

April 18-25, 2024
Had the opportunity to attend the Mesa Music Festival.  It was a three day event with numerous stages featuring live bands, food trucks, vendors, and the many shops and restaurants in downtown Mesa.  If you haven’t been downtown in awhile, you are in for a treat. Along with the GREAT shops and restaurants that have been there for years, there are a few more new ones to check out. There was something for everyone.  Once again, I had the opportunity to visit with Mesa residents and some surrounding residents as well who came out to enjoy the festivities.  It was a few fun days.

Attended the Legislative District 9 meeting on April 25th and was great connecting with local constituents and some state and federal candidates.  Always interested in hearing other viewpoints, concerns, and input how to enhance our already great city.

I had the opportunity to attend Celebrate Mesa on April 13th at Pioneer Park, downtown Mesa.
It was a GREAT free event attended by hundreds of people. Everything from a police helicopter, fire engine, bounce houses, food trucks, and many City and private booths set up.
Hope you had a chance to attend. I was able to meet and talk with quite a few people about the event and about what they want to see going forward in the City of Mesa.
It was GREAT hearing first hand what their thought’s are on current day Mesa and what they hope future Mesa will be like.

Hope everyone had a great Easter.  Was at the egg hunt this past Saturday where there were plenty of eggs to hunt and fun for all.  Outstanding breakfast put on by Mesa fire.
